Winnipeg local wins $1 million on LOTTO 6/49!

Sheila Wolfe is overjoyed—she’s just found out that she is the newest millionaire in Manitoba.

“I buy a lot of tickets,” she chuckled at her prize claim interview. “I enjoy playing the lottery!”

The Winnipegger won $1 million and a free play on the April 27 LOTTO 6/49 Gold Ball Draw!

“I actually thought it was a $1,000 win when I checked it at the terminal,” she said. “But the retailer handed me a slip and told me it was a million-dollar win!”

Wolfe has plans to visit family across the country with her new winnings and said she’s very excited to have this news to share with them.

“I’m in complete shock,” she said. “I hope everyone has the opportunity to experience a lottery win!”

Wolfe bought her winning LOTTO 6/49 ticket at Shoppers Drug Mart located at 3665 Portage Avenue in Winnipeg. She won her prize in the Gold Ball Draw on April 27, with the selection 30114405-01, a white ball.
