Whitehorse local gets $100K winning hand in POKER LOTTO!

William Bennett won $100,000 on the May 17 draw for POKER LOTTO! The Whitehorse local said he was already a fan of the game before this win. 

“I like to play POKER LOTTO often,” he said during his prize claim interview. “But when I scanned the ticket at [the store], I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.” 

Bennett said he scanned the ticket a few more times before it really sunk in that he’d in fact won $100,000 on the games nightly draw. 

“I could barely stand up after seeing the win amount,” Bennet laughed. “It’s overwhelming, fantastic and unbelievable.” 

The winner said he is most excited to share his winnings with his family and put it toward the construction of a new family cabin.  

Bennett purchased his winning ticket at Save on Foods located at 100-43 Chilkoot Way in Whitehorse. He won his prize by matching all five cards drawn on POKER LOTTO’s May 17: queen of spades, eight of hearts, three of clubs, five of clubs and eight of diamonds.
