Long-time LOTTO 6/49 fans win BIG in Grande Prairie!

Vilma and Leo Colandog are big fans of LOTTO 6/49.

“We’ve been playing since 2013,” Leo said. “Always hoping to win!”

Now, the Grande Prairie couple has big news to celebrate: they won $129,894.60 on the May 4 Classic Draw, splitting the second-highest draw prize with another ticket purchased somewhere in Ontario!

“I scanned it on the self-checker and didn’t believe it, so I checked again,” explained Leo. “I called my wife and sent her a picture.”

“She didn’t believe me either!” he laughed.

Now that the shock has begun to wind down, the couple has big plans for their new windfall.

“We’re hoping to put it towards a new home because we are renting now,” explained Vilma. “I’d love to use some to help with my online travel business as well!”

“It feels like I’m still dreaming,” she added.

The Colandogs purchased their winning LOTTO 6/49 and EXTRA ticket at Wally’s Mini Mart at 9318 100 Street in Grande Prairie. They won their prize by matching five of the six numbers drawn for the May 4 Classic Draw—2, 16, 21, 27, 38, 45, plus the bonus, 43.
