Airdrie local ready to visit home in Nova Scotia with new EXTRA winnings!

Thomas Grant was checking lottery tickets on the Lotto Spot app as he typically does while he has his morning coffee, when he discovered he’d won BIG on a ticket he’d never purchased before.

“I wanted to try [LIGHTNING LOTTO] because it’s a new game,” he explained. “And I always add EXTRA.”

Adding EXTRA to this new ticket resulted in a $100,000 win on the May 19 draw!

“I had no reaction to be honest,” Grant said at his prize claim interview. “I called my ex, and she was even more excited than I was!”

Now that he has had some time to consider what to do with his winnings, Grant is extra excited!

“I was thinking about trading in my car, and I could possibly upgrade now,” he said. “And I’ll have some to invest.”

“I’m definitely taking a trip home to Nova Scotia though,” he said. “And now I have extra money to go with!”

Grant purchased his LIGHTNING LOTTO and EXTRA ticket from Hi Ho Gas and Grocery at 1-1861 Meadowbrook Drive Southeast in Airdrie. He won his prize by matching the last six numbers selected in the EXTRA draw for May 19: 4 9 0 8 3 2 8.
