Manitoban needed a double-take for 100K EXTRA win!

Tina Pascu of Deloraine won a whopping $100,000 on EXTRA.  

The Manitoban purchased her ticket while at the grocery store and said it’s a bit of a routine for her. 

“Since moving to Manitoba, I purchase lottery tickets more often,” she explained. 

“I checked the winning numbers on the website, and it was very early in the morning,” she continued. “I thought it was $1,000 – and I was happy with that!” 

She said she woke up her – then sleeping—partner and told him the amazing news. 

“He told me to have another coffee and look again,” she laughed. 

And it’s a good thing she did! The win was 100 times what she thought it was and it took Pascu a moment to let it sink in! 

“I don’t have definite plans for the money yet,” she said. “But I’ll probably put some aside for our retirement!” 

“It feels absolutely awesome,” she continued. “Before this, my biggest prize was $20!” 

Pascu purchased her winning WESTERN MAX and EXTRA ticket from Sobeys Brandon South at 1570 18 Street in Brandon. She won her prize by matching the last six digits of the EXTRA number drawn on July 26: 2943662.
